In a National Review article, Willful Blindness and Our Saudi ‘Friends’  from April 16, 2016, Andrew McCarthy brings to light the reality that facts pointing to a Saudi connection to the 9/11 terrorist attacks have been kept secret for nearly fifteen years. Want to hide something? leave it plain view. These connections were brought to our attention by Roger Moore in the movie Fahrenheit 911. With the primary source of the information being conspiracy web sites and the partisan activist, Moore, people were able to dismiss this info an go back to their daily lives with regard to our Saudis friends. Why have we as a nation continued this "friendship" so long?
I would point to the dollar. We have a monetary system based on nothing other than the willingness of people to accept our money. We have needed the House of Saud to sell us their abundance of oil in our abundance of dollars. They then squeezed the wealth out of it. The higher the oil price the more secure our dollar. Under our current economic reporting system from the federal government energy prices are not fully considered in inflationary reporting. You can print and send oversees a lot of dollars and  achieve two goals.

#1 Keeping the dollar propped up.
#2 Hiding inflation that results from "printing" money.

Unfortunate some oil execs must not have been paying attention to the game. The development of Canada's oil sands, and our shale oil put a dent in the offshore flow of money to the Saudis. Current result? The Saudis dumped the price of oil. This is a double whammy for the US.

#1 It destroys the home grown energy opportunity as it costs more to pump it out of the ground than it is worth.
#2 With our dollar exports cut in half inflation is going to run rampant. (note the recent panic meeting of the fed including Yellen running up to the White house).

So now suddenly their is chatter about releasing the twenty-eight pages of 9/11 report that are thought to implicate the Saudis role in the attacks. Why now? I'll let you reason through that yourself.

Unfortunately our love of money, coupled with our phony monetary system, have caused us to make some horrible geopolitical decisions. It looks like those decisions may soon be bearing fruit.

What is the driver behind all of this? Well it is even bigger than geopolitics. I encourage everyone who is interested in what is going on to read God's War On Terror.

Well now.... Ten minutes after posting this I read the following headline.
